Holly Days

The day after Thanksgiving our community holds the annual Holly Days, Fire, Frost and Fantasy where they have all kinds of activities for people of the area to participate in. Our family all met to walk through the Trees for Charity, ate at Casa Rios and then went downtown to Holly Days to play, ride and sing. The businesses in the community sponsor the events and what a great activity, we all had a wonderfully fun time. The last activity we particpated in was the singing where Parker, Aurie and Lucas sang with the Tavacci group at the Western Park. Then we all went to our house and played games. Rachael, Landyn and Tesher spent the day with her family while Cole worked, we missed being with them.

Trees for Charity

Each year to begin the Christmas season my office Coldwell Banker Aspen Brook Realty participates in the Trees for Charities, where different sponsors, businesses, groups or individuals choose a charity and then decorate a Christmas Tree and it is then auctioned off at the Trees for Charity Gala. Our Charity was the Turning Point Shelter for those in the community that may need a temporary place to stay or have lost their home until they can find a home. It is a great place that helps so many families.
We had so much fun decorating and putting the tree together, both at the office planning it and then at the Western Park decorating it. It was decorated with large candy look decor and our theme was "As Visions of Sugar Plums Danced in Their Heads".
Everyone from the office donates toward the tree and then as many that can, come to decorate. Linda, Pat, Jeanne, Amy, Sarah, Evelyn, Aimee and myself all were there to put it together.
Members of the community get to walk through and view all of the trees during the Holly Days festivities and vote on their favorite. This year the Harry Potter tree won the People Choice Award both adult and children's. There were so many wonderful charities that really have a great need; from organized charities, to individuals with illnesses to singles moms and those that have lost loved ones to accident or illness. It makes you feel so good to watch the community come together for this great cause to help so many charities.
Our Tree was auctioned off at the Gala and sold for $4000, all of that money going to the Turning Point Shelter. What a great opportunity and a wonderful community. I am blessed to work with and live a place of so much love and caring for ones neighbor.

Family Pictures

We had Family Pictures on October 28th. It was a great day and we all had a very good time. Melinda Smith was our photographer and she was great engaging all of us and getting even "Ole Renny" to participate. We love having the pictures in our backyard where we have the great trees, beautiful fall leaves and willows for a background.

About Us...

I have been married to my High School sweetheart for almost 32 years. Together we have 5 children, 4 sons and 1 daughter. Two of those sons have gone on to work and prepare a place for the rest of us that we might all be together with our Heavenly Father some day. We are so blessed to have 3 of our children here with us and they all live in Vernal with their families. Danni and Jacob Harrison with their 4 children, Parker, Aurelia, Lucas and Caleb; Colt and Jamey with their children, Kaylee and Kaydence; and Cole and Rachael with their children, Landyn and Tesher. We love them all so much...what a blessing.
About Beaut and the Beast - Ren has called me Beaut for as long as I can remember, he has often referred to our story of that as similar to Beauty and the Beast, meaning that the beauty rescues the beast from his awful future of staying the beast and ultimately turning to the prince he once was, however the fact is that he rescues her too (which is more the truth than anythiing else) and then together they continue their journey.
