Christmas Day

Tesher enjoying one of our favorite Christmas tradtions, pastas of different kinds.

It started out with just being Manicotti Pasta, but now that there are more of us...

It's whatever pastas we decide we want with of course the old standby...

Manicotti...I do make a mean Manicotti.

Christmas Day began with attending church, it just seems that that would be the way it should be. We had a wonderful Sacrament Meeting, the choir sang 2 numbers, Ren spoke and gave some wonderful remarks and the rest of the meeting was all music. It was all very appropriate and very spiritual, it could not have been more perfect for the day.
After Church we went straight to the Care Center to visit with Mom, give her her gifts and just take some time for her. I felt so bad we couldn't take her out of there for some time. But it is really not an option any more, no way to transport her. Danni and Jake went with us and I think she really liked seeing the kids.
Danni spent most of the day with us, Jake's family was out of town. We worked in the kitchen making breakfast and she made her breadsticks for our dinner while the kids and grandparents took a quick nap. We then went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Anderton. We had a very nice visit, Dan and Linda were there, we had taken Parker, Aurie and Lucas, while Danni tried to get Caleb to sleep.
Eventually everyone was at the house and ready to open our presents and have dinner, it was a blast opening presents and telling everyone that the main present was their trip to Disneyland in March. They were all so excited. Ren filmed it on DVD and I don't know how to put it on the blog yet. That will have to be one of my New Year's goal, learn some new technology.
We then ate our traditional pasta/Manicotti meal and played games for the rest of the evening.
I am ever so thankful for family, it is so nice to watch the kids play with one another, both grandchildren and our children as they played games. We are very blessed to have the children and grandchildren we have.
I also am so thankful to have the knowledge I have of the Savior, of his birth, life, example, atonement, death and ressurection. And the gift of Eternal Life he and our Father in Heaven gave me and all of us. I really want to be the kind of person that it talks of in the Book of Mormon, of those that sought only to do good.
